Scout out – Woodchester Mansion Wedding Photography
I met up with Lianne and Craig yesterday at Woodchester Mansion, Woodchester Park in Glouchestershire. They’re planning a very exciting festival wedding in September and have asked me to take their official photographs. This is a particular honour as Craig met many of his friends and invited guests at university whilst studying photography! (No pressure there then). Woodchester Mansion Wedding Photography .
Woodchester Mansion is an unfinished, Gothic revival mansion house near Nympsfield in Woodchester, Gloucestershire, England. Lianne and Craig found the venue by change on a post on the Festival Brides Inspiration Blog.
The Mansion was abandoned by its builders in the middle of construction, leaving behind a building that appears complete from the outside, but with floors, plaster and whole rooms missing inside. It has remained in this state since the mid-1870s.
The mansion is now in the hands of the Woodchester Mansion Trust who run it as a charity and rely heavily upon volunteer input and support.
It’s a truly a beautiful and grand place and will be brought alive by Lianne and Craig’s plans. There’ll be picnics, bands, dj’s and food and drink from local suppliers and ale from a local brewery. We may end up sleeping in the car after this one! Can’t wait!
