It was a good thing it rained for most of yesterday as it provided such an amazing and intimate atmosphere for Charlotte and Jonathan’s wedding. For those who had travelled to south Wales they knew it has a reputation of raining often, although yesterday was close to a wash out until 7pm when the clouds bloke and we had a bit of a sunset and a very dry evening.
Charlotte and Jonathan brought together a huge gathering of friends and family to the Coed-y-Mwstwr hotel, near Bridgend, a few miles from Cardiff. Many people travelled from Neath and Charlotte brought family from Luton, although there were guests from Australia and Brazil who had made the trip for the party. And it was made totally worth their while.
When we arrived there was already champagne and prosecco being drank by the bottle. The sign on the driveway read ‘Drinking, dancing and “I do’s” this way – and it was in that order that priorities were set.
