The last year has been quite exciting for me. After launching my wedding photography back in 2012, I have been looking for a way of putting to use some of the skills I have developed in other ways and other, more accessible packages.

One question that has always challenged me is ‘What makes a good photograph?’

For some it’s all about the light, the use of shade and shadows. For many it’s simply composition; lines, angles and perspectives. Some love colour, others black and white. The great French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson coined the term ‘decisive moment’ that most documentary style photographers have appreciated, and proves timing to be the photographers greatest competence.

But for me it’s a connection. An instance, flicker or glimpse of emotion between two people. For many portraits that means a connection between the photographer and subject. You can see that human emotional relationship transmitted from the eyes, facial expression or body language. Yet to witness the warm feelings of love between two people captured in a photograph, that sets everyone’s heart racing.

A Together session is about your relationship and bond you share with your partner. It’s a way of capturing the photogenic flashes of beauty and affection you only show when you’re connected, in-tune and harmonising with each other.
So a photoshoot with no robo-posing, no awkward moments, no embarrassment! I will invite you to engage with your partner using a technique that is relaxed, fun, personal and most of all rewarding for you both. Packages make great anniversary, valentines, birthday or just plain romantic presents. I like to find out a bit about you and your relationship before the session, the we will find a location where you feel most comfortable. Afterwards I will present you with a heap of great photos to choose from, a photobook to keep, a voucher for prints and a dozen digital files. Packages range from £95 to £150. Sessions are available weekdays, evenings or weekends and need to be booked a week in advance.
