Newport has always held a special place in my heart.
My first job after college was co-ordinating the city status campaign for the then ‘Newport Borough Council’, so I’m always super proud to read the ‘City of Newport’ signs whenever I drive to or past Newport.
The Pod is a very unique and special venue, offering foodies and those who love drink and cocktails an amazing space right in the centre of Newport, on the riverside and next to the famous bridge.
Janna and Kate brought family from around south Wales as well as Scotland and Belgium to Newport for a ceremony at the Mansion House before a bus tour and party at the Pod.
After dark we went for a bit of a walk, mainly to get some fresh air. Janna and Kate were gracious in humouring me requesting a photo outside Iceland – maybe an ‘in joke’ amongst wedding photographers, but we didn’t see any waterfalls or glaciers on our trip.
Owen made us feel comfortable for the whole day, even though we’re not too keen on having our pictures taken.
He actively mingled with our friends to get the best out of them. His pictures show happiness, genuine smiles, sincerity… They’re not forced or staged.
We recommend him because he made our wedding his priority, took fantastic pictures and genuinely seemed to care. He became part of the family for the day.
