I get to see some really cool stuff at the weddings I’m invited to photograph. I’ve seen so many great ideas and fun things, so I’ve decided to share some of them. Here are the first 50 cool wedding ideas for your wedding! I’ve compiled a collection of some of my favourite fun, funky and individual things I have seen that I hope to see again.

12. Flipflops – especially if you’re expecting the weather to be scorching on your big day. 
13. A suitcase for your cards. Just close it up and take it with you to open on your honeymoon! 
14. A sweet stall. Just because. 
15. A personalised wedding cake. This can become a real feature of the day. 
16. Personalised gifts for your family and important friends. 
17. Vintage jewelry. 
18. Mis-matched crockery. You can hire this, or raid your town’s charity shops.

32. A old black car. White cars are great, but surely you’ll agree the real style is in a black motor. 
33. Arriving together. There is a very old British tradition of the bride being traded by the father on the wedding day. Breaking that tradition means you can spend some time together beforehand 
34. Simple flower colours. Lavender is perfect for this, and cost effective too!
