Yesterday was my last wedding photographer job of the year and it went off with a bang! Becky and Luke arranged the perfect set up for their huge group of close friends and family to come together and celebrate. Buckland Hall near Brecon in south Wales is an amazing venue for wedding photographers and sleeps nearly 70 guests, so it’s a real private hire manor house so it’s absolutely spectacular for guests too. It’s set just above Tal-y-bont on Usk, half way between Brecon and Crickhowell and as a wedding photographer offers everything.
The ceremony and main celebrations took place within the main hall, with it’s grand staircase and huge windows overlooking it’s views over the Brecon Beacons. Many of the guests had stayed the night before and a huge crowd had travelled up from Cardiff to celebrate with Becky and Luke. The other thing to note was the food, exclusively vegetarian (which suited me) and beyond what you might imagine wedding food would taste like.
The party at this wedding was always going to be great, Becky and Luke have a huge circle of close friends who were hitting the jagerbombs before dinner had been served. As soon as the music started arms were in the air and the music had to be turned up to 11 (distorting through the pa) just to overpower the crowd singing in many songs. There was dancing on shoulders, circles of fun, trouser dropping, pile ons and just a party as fun as any couple would wish for on their wedding day.
I really hope I get the chance to return to Buckland Hall again soon, as wedding photographers Cardiff I had the best day and it appeared every single guest enjoyed the surroundings, architecture, atmosphere, friendliness and hospitality that this venue offers.
